Space and The Black Holes

The Black Holes :

 Firstly when  I say Black Holes, everyone must be thinking that we are wasting time on something we already know.But, let me reassure you that when I am talking about black holes I am not going into the in-depth knowledge of it.A professor or any scientist will be able to tell you more and far better than me.To be frank, I have very limited knowledge about black holes.So, let me discuss some fun facts and something interesting.

So, Black Hole is basically a region in space and time where the gravitational field wins over any external forces or matter.So, nothing can escape the black holes, NOT EVEN LIGHT.Now, I assume we all know this.

Now, How are they formed?

Well this happens when a star collapses or explodes and a large supernova gets created.Now in this massive supernova lies hidden a Black Hole. It can only be detected by gravitational effect over any mass.Black Holes are considered to have infinite mass and theoritically it has zero volume.Now,this is a paradox.But actually this has a explanation.

A Supernova

Suppose, there is a star and it has reached the end of its life span.So, when the super massive explosion occurs, the forces of the explosion radiate in all possible directions.Now,there are some forces which are directed towards the center.This forces are so powerfull in case of planetary and heavenly bodies like stars that they draw in the center of the star and its mass.So, they are able to win over their gravitational sphere, and thus shrink to become a black hole. So, the black holes now have their own gravitational force and this gravitational is uncomparably high.So,matter collapses into a black hole.Lets rather not say collapses directly.when a matter enters a black hole,it enters tangentially and revolves in the black hole in a circular type imaginary orbit and then following a spiral path collapses into the heart or center of the black hole.

To make it easy,think the black hole as an atom.So, an atom has a nucleus and has orbits.Now, think about Rutherford's Model of the Atom and then think of its major drawback.The drawback was that,
a charged particle undergoing circular motion will accelerate and hence will lose energy and does will follow a spiral path and then would collapse into the nucleus.The atom would collapse.So,this major drawback is what may be happening in case of the black hole.(If I am wrong please specify so and why?).

Not just stars can collapse into a black hole.Even out daily objects can collapse in a black hole.If you strike something very hard the atoms at that point collapse into tiny black holes.Think like this!Suppose you have a huge campus,like IIT Kharagpur or any other massive object, and let us say it gets compressed to a sugar crystal.Thus it forms a black hole in a way.Now in the concept of black holes Schwarzschild Radius is a relevant topic.

Schwarzschild radius is referred to as the gravitational sphere radius.Any mass if compressed within that sphere, then  the escape speed from the surface of the sphere will be equal to the speed of light.
So, anything having radius smaller than the Schwarzschild radius is a black hole.so, when the college campus is compressed to a sugar crystal,surely the radius of the sugar crystal is smaller than the Schwarzschild radius.So,it can be considered as a black hole.So, Schwarzschild radius is a boundary condition for a object of any nature to be a black hole.

R=2GM/(c^2),
where,
R=Schwarzschild radius,
G=gravitational constant
M=mass of the black hole.

Author's Notes :

Firstly, I want to thank the people who have viewed my blog.I was very excited to see even a few people has viewed what I have written.As always, comments are allowed and you can inform me about it if you want.Today's topic is on black holes.This reminds me to share a topic.The hot topic about black holes being wormholes is one of my favourite.Even there are talks that it might be that our galaxy's super massive black hole is a wormhole.I don't know much about this till now.I am searching for answers as others.So,with this I conclude my second post.Next post coming in a couple of days,so, stay tuned.......

Thank You.
